Chinese Calligraphy Workshop

Join us to learn about the art of Chinese calligraphy, including writing techniques and fundamental knowledge! This workshop is designed for those with no prior experience in calligraphy or knowledge of the Chinese writing system. All are welcome! Dr. Huiming Xu, visiting scholar in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, will provide an overview of Chinese calligraphy, showcase his published artwork, and lead a demonstration of writing techniques before inviting attendees to participate in hands-on calligraphy practice.
