All Things Act: Agency in Early Chinese Thought

The Carolina Asia Center is delighted to invite Dr. Mercedes Valmisa, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Gettysburg College, to be our keynote speaker for the 28th South East Early China Round Table.
Professor Valmisa is the author of Adapting: A Chinese Philosophy of Action (Oxford University Press, 2021) and several articles on Chinese philosophy. This keynote presentation is based on materials from her current book project All Things Act, which explores theories of agency in early Chinese thought.
This keynote is free and open to the public.
