The Bringing Southeast Asia Home Initiative, Carolina Asia Center, and Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies are elated to announce the Minor in Southeast Asian Studies.
Starting in Fall 2024, undergraduate students can declare for the minor through the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. Requirements for the minor include four content courses on Southeast Asia and an optional language course at the 204+ level.
Upcoming courses that are eligible to be applied to the minor are the following:
- MUSC/ASIA 240- Performance in Southeast Asia: Gongs, Punks, and Shadow Plays (Summer Session II 2024)
- ANTH/ASIA 375- Memory, Massacres, and Monuments in Southeast Asia (Fall 2024)
- AMST/ASIA 353- Southeast Asian North Carolina (Fall 2024)
